Steve Gore on a half day FIZ.  His goal was to oil up some rusty old kayaking skills.  We know he can still work the basics in a boat because we have seen him in action on the Tarawera so it was time to take it up a notch and do some playing on the Kaituna
"Spectacular day.  I was really freaking when I first got on the water.... something about being tied into a small plastic coffin does that to me.  But 2 hours with Bruce and Cindy has boosted my skills and confidence out of sight and left me really buzzing.  I had a look at the chute before I got in and thought, "there's no way I'm going down there without flipping but when we did take it on it was  big rush but not a pants wetting one."  Huge kudos to Bruce and Cindy for their style of teaching - just focusing on one thing at a time - undoing a few bad habits I didn't realise I had and we were away.  I just want to get back in a boat now and keep the progress rolling.  Huge thanks guys."
