We mean it when we say your Fiz is a personalised
experience. Your group will be the only ones on your FIZ.
Your FIZ might take us down to Taupo, across to Rotorua or in the other
direction to Kawerau, Ohope and beyond. Part of your FIZ
experience is learning to find good FIZ spots in your own neck of the
woods.
When you arrive you'll be greeted with a fire on the beach
(weather permitting) and
a drink. While you relax we'll discuss the sort of things you
want to do and together we'll design an amazing
experience for you....but that's all subject to change. If we are
surfing waves on the Waioweka river or paddling on the lake and you
don't want to quit, we
won't! If we are doing a river float and you find yourself
getting bored we'll cut it short and move onto something more fun.
Here's a few ideas to mull over...
Got an afternoon?
How about we meet you somewhere and truck off to the end of Lake
Rotorua, jump in kayaks, paddle the Ohau channel through to Lake
Rotoiti (good fishing there too), and gently steam along the edge of
the lake to Okere Falls for a coffee. Maybe we can watch some
idiots
try
to kill themselves on the Kaituna!
Got a day? How about we
meet up at the Redwoods, take in a trail or 2. Then paddle the
Ohau Channel but instead of going to the cafe, we cruise along the
other shore
till we come to the great hotpools that can only be accessed by
boat. Have a soak/splash then carry on to a pick up point - we'll
probably be ready for that coffee by then.
Want a weekend to remember?
Lite and easy, for
beginners... Bike - Paddle - Hike.
Energetic saturday. Do a few rides in the Redwoods in the
morning.
Have lunch on the lakeside then kayak through the Ohau Channel from
Lake
Rotorua to Lake Rotoiti. Paddle across the lake for coffee at
Okere
Falls store, then cruise home...maybe watch a few idiots try to kill
themselves going over the Falls.
Cruisy Sunday: Drive to lake Tarawera at the outlet and walk down to
the
falls past where the river disappears underground, then lunch and
have
an intro to white water paddling on the river in town or a hot swim.
Kayak blast off weekend.
Paddle session on the lake then blast over to Kawerau for river
paddling then Sunday a river trip on the Aniwhenua section of the
Rangitaiki River - this is one spectacular piece of scenary that can
only be accessed by boat.
Kayak Mountainbike combo
weekend.
Paddle on the lake morning and the Tawarewa river in the afternoon.
Sunday go mountainbiking in the Redwoods.
Not interested in kayking?
Saturday - have a days riding in the Redwoods.
Sunday - water day. Tube down the Aniwhenua or swim down the
Waikto - either is a very ethereal experience.
We can't wait to meet you - It's gonna be spectacular!
